The Jessica wiggle dress from Pinup Girl Clothing is the definition of sex appeal with a vintage flare. Named after the divine Jessica LaBlanche. A girl with many talents…modelling, makeup artist, hair stylist, just to name a few. It took a little research to find out more about their inspiration as I have not come across this lovely gal until now. I must say, you should definitely check her out…what a classic beauty with an edge!
Available in XS to 2X (coming soon in 3X & 4X) in a variety of colors – MSRP $96USD
I had lusted over the Jessica dress in burgundy & black since the day I discovered PUG but it was sold out in my size. Waiting patiently for months, I was crushed to find out the burgundy had been discontinued. Searching every possible store online, I came up empty handed. While posting on the PUG Fanpage of my desire to purchase this from anyone that was thinking of parting with theirs, someone heard my plea! They had found the dress at a store in Europe on clearance. Long story short, a fellow PUG fan offered to have it shipped to her in the UK and then forward it to me in Canada. I was blown away at her willingness to help a complete stranger, I am forever grateful…you rock Tamsin!
The Jessica wiggle is made from a super stretchy bengaline that will hug your every curve creating the sexiest silhouette. The contrasting belt with help define your waist and enhance your bustline wonderfully. If you are in between sizes definitely size down for a snug fit. Based on my measurements (36, 29, 41) I fit perfectly in a Medium.
If you are narrow in the shoulders, the straps will most likely slip off your shoulders. The trick is to have them taken up just a tad so they stay in place. Since the Jessica is made to define your curves, I suggest some shapewear if you want a flawless silhouette. In these photos I am wearing the famous Rago 1294.
You will find this to be one of your go to dresses for an evening out on the town. Pair it with a pair of kitten heels or peep toe pumps. Add a little hair flower to spice things up, or keep it simple since it is a true stand alone piece.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that PUG releases the Jessica in more colorways…especially in plum! Add yourself to the waitlist so you can scoop one up as soon as they are restocked…they sell out fast every time!
