Nautical influences are a constant theme recognized in vintage inspired clothing. Some designs look like you just walked off the boat while others have much more subtle influences. A perfect example is the Pinup Couture Natalie dress in Nautical Blue with white trim.
Available in sizes XS – 2x in black, navy and pink. – MSRP $88USD
The Natalie dress is the epitome of bodacious curves! When it comes to sizing, be sure to follow the chart very closely. Although the material is stretch bengaline, it has much less stretch than most PUG bengaline dresses. Originally I ordered a Medium but it would not even make it over my hips, so I exchanged it for a Large. The long 23 inch zipper is the key to a smooth all over look. Thankfully the capped sleeves are not restrictive and trimmed with the matching white accent. The bust tie is a bit tricky at first but it allows you to control the amount of cleavage exposure.
It is definitely a more basic design but you can dress up or down based on the occasion. The Natalie is super comfortable and figure flattering hugging all your amazing curves. It has been a PUG staple for several years now as it is a timeless design at an affordable price.
I highly recommend pairing the Natalie with your sexiest peep-toe or mary-jane pumps. Since it is such a simple look, your shoes will help kick it up to the highest level of sex appeal. For a tone down look, a basic pair of ballet flats or kitten heels would be ideal. Personally, I do not like to wear the Natalie with a belt…accessorize with caution. The simpler, the better!
One thing I have noticed, girls do not want to part with their Natalie dresses on the swap n sell Facebook page. If you get your hands on one, I am certain you will love it to death. Hopefully PUG will consider releasing them in new colorways in the future…my heart is lusting after a Natalie in plum.
