Kat Von D’s One Of A Kind Beauty Collection

There is no secret in the fact that I’ve been a HUGE Kat Von D fan over the years, her beauty and talent is truly one of a kind. When Kat released her first book, I traveled to Toronto and waited in line for over three hours just to have the chance to meet her and get my book autographed. The Sephora staff all gush on how down-to-earth she is and truly appreciates her fans which was very evident when I met her as well. Needless to say, when her makeup line was released I had to try it…not knowing I would fall in love all over again. The quality is hands down one of the best when it comes to the luscious, highly pigmented and long lasting products.

Now it’s time to share the fabulous products in my growing Kat Von D collection.

True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Ludwig

The very first item I purchased immediately following the release of Kat’s cosmetic line was the True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Ludwig (named after her late hairless cat). This palette is full of wonderful neutral staples with perfect compliments to create a beautiful smokey eye in natural tones. My favorite colors are Orbi and Dimebag, both stunning shades of shimmery green. The palette comes in a fabulous case adorned with Kat’s artwork.

High Voltage Eye Primer in skin

The problem I have always struggled with was trying to achieve the true color of the eyeshadow I was applying. Other eye primers did not seem to provide the proper base and decided to try the Kat Von D High Voltage Eye Primer in skin. Immediately I could see the primer was thicker and concealed amazingly compared to other brands. It does not crease or cake even after hours of wear. It has become my go-to eye primer and highly recommend it to everyone.

Triple Threat Tattoo Liners

The Kat Von D Triple Threat Tattoo Liners are the holy grail for vintage pin up lovers! Before I owned the trio, there was absolutely no way I could achieve a perfect cat-eye being so unskilled when it comes to makeup application. The set comes with three different style eye liner tips; Saint – skinny tip, Poetica – bold chiseled tip, Sinner – medium tip. All three are waterproof and more importantly, quick-drying. What I love most is the fact they are super easy to use with the unique felt tip applicator and go on so smoothly. They will last you all day and never crease or crack. The trio set is a MUST HAVE for all!

P.S. The liner that gets used the most is definitely Sinner.

Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw

The most recent addition to my collection is the Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw. This shade is the most true pin up red I have ever found in a lip stain. It goes on amazingly smooth and dries super quick so you won’t have to worry about transfer onto your teeth or clothes. In my experience, it does not dry out your lips like most stains and last for hours. The only time I require a touch up is after eating. Again, another MUST HAVE for pin up girls!

Lock-It Tattoo Foundation

Kat Von D recently released the Lock-It Tattoo Foundation which is said to be one of the best on the market by the staff at Sephora. Hopefully I will get to try her foundation in the future and report back; once my Dior foundation is empty.

Whether you are a makeup newbie like myself or a hardcore junkie, the Kat Von D line is highly recommended for everyone. Make sure to check out your local Sephora and sample them for yourself…you won’t be disappointed!

  1. I really like her makeup as well… I have 4 eyeshadow pallettes!! And one of my favorite lipsticks is by her. Ive been weary about trying the eyeliner, cause Im kind of picky, but maybe Ill have to give it a try!

  2. I discovered her concealer while helping a friend to cover some “love bites” and was amazed by the quality and great shade selection. This makes me want to try her other goodies too!

Please leave your 2 cents!
