Rockabilly Bling By Danger De Lux

One of my constant blog supporters has come from the lovely Natasha creator of Danger De Lux accessories and blogger. Her edgy Rockabilly style shows through in her designs and her passion for the culture. Here’s a small sampling of her fabulous fasinators available at Rowena and Danger De Lux’s Etsy Store.

As soon as I saw the soft pink flower with gingham accent, I knew exactly what outfit it was meant for…the Deadly Dames Gingham Courtesan Swing Dress! They are a perfect compliment to one another and versatile enough to pair with your favorite summer outfits. The soft pink color is striking but not overpowering.

You can all laugh at me, but the two plum ranunculus flowers are actually shoe clips but I thought they were for your hair! Lol…oops! The clips are meant to attach to the back of your heels or the front, whatever your fancy. To make them more versatile, I may add a little alligator clip so they can also be worn in my hair as well. The shoe clips are too shallow and damaging for your hair, do not try this at home. 🙂

The classic black rose with striped accents is perfect for all your edgy Rockabilly outfits. I wore it recently with my Deadly Dames Haunted Housewife and received tons of compliments. The comfortable alligator clip works if your hair is tied back or worn loosely. This is definitely a versatile accessory for any retro gal!

Last but not least, the striped fasinator with white flowers. Personally I think it would look fabulous with vintage pin curls rather than your hair worn loosely. If you want a little extra flair to your outfit, this is a real showcase piece. Placement is totally a personal preference and I haven’t mastered it quite yet.

Recently Danger De Lux has added reworked Vintage purses to her Etsy store. Whether your are looking for an edgy studded piece or traditional rockabilly roses, she will custom order it to suit your style. Check out Natasha’s blog and Etsy store for unique jewelry, flowers, and so much more!

A Little Hair Candy

When I reached out to my readers seeking new companies to feature I was contacted by the creator of Miss Pin-Up, a small boutique featuring vintage inspired hair pieces.

Peacock Eye Clip

Jenna Miller started making her own hair accessories in hopes to fill the void found in local stores in order to express her unique vintage style. While wearing them out and about, complete strangers were dying to know she got them from so that is where Miss Pin-Up was born in January 2012. Her desire to make women feel absolutely beautiful about their look and style fueled her passion to share her creations with women all over the world.

Red Rose Clip with Ostrich Feathers

Based in Winnipeg (Canada), you can find Miss Pin-Up on Etsy and Facebook. Since every person is unique, Jenna loves creating pieces for each individual based on their ideas or needs. Custom orders are her specialty! She will walk you through the process and create a hair candy masterpiece.

Peacock Tail Clip with Birdcage Veil

I shared with Jenna my love of peacock feathers and she definitely delivered. Personally I never saw myself wearing feather fascinators before but she definitely changed my mind in an instant when I wore them for the first time. The natural feather clip has to be my favorite one of them all, a classic piece perfect for any vintage fashionista.
