How many little black dresses should a woman have in her closet…is one really enough? As a self proclaimed dress hoarder, I am a fond believer in the more the merrier! But oddly enough, I currently don’t own a staple LBD since I always gravitate to jewel tones and/or bold prints. It’s about time that I break out of old habits and diversify my wardrobe to include more options like the infamous LBD without sacrificing my desire for sense of uniqueness. Stop Staring has created a fabulous twist on the typical LBD with the Love Dress in black; with a stunning keyhole back and back bow, sure to bring out the sexy bombshell in all of us.
Available in sizes XS-3X in a variety of colours & prints ~ MSRP $158
It has been quite some time since I have acquired a new Stop Staring dress, none since my recent weight loss so I had to consult their size charts in order to see if I could now fit in a smaller size. Previously, I always wore a size Large and had to invest in alterations every time. Today, I find myself in their size Medium range with my current measurements of 36-27-39. When the Love Dress arrived, I was ecstatic that it fit like a glove and actually didn’t require ANY alterations. The millennium fabric is super stretchy, it hugs your curves like second skin and incredibly comfortable. As mentioned earlier, the Love Dress features a sexy keyhole back and lower back bow, a sweetheart pleated neckline, cap sleeves and side rushing at the waist which is fabulous to flatter tummy trouble areas. At 5′-4″ tall, the skirt falls a few inches below the knees.
The Love Dress has created a fabulous twist on the classic LBD, one that is bound to turn heads every time. I am absolutely smitten with the keyhole design, as it allows me to show up my back tattoo without sacrificing comfort of my favorite undergarments. There’s no need to worry about finding a strapless bra, the cap sleeves and strategic placement of the keyhole allows you to wear a regular bra. No wiggle dress is complete without my Rago 1294 Girdle! On the other hand, the uber flattering side rushing in combination with the dark colour and thickness of the bengaline does lend well to allow you to forgo any shapewear if you prefer. The Love Dress is a serious knock out; I felt my confidence at an all time high and I can’t wait to wear it for a date night with the hubby.
With the sexy details in the design, accessorizing the Love Dress should be kept simple. I paired it with my cherry red Madden Girl pumps, Lux De Ville Lady Lux Bow purse and Vintage Box 1947 red rose hair flower. My second option was to pair the Love Dress with my leopard heels, both looked fabulous. Believe it or not, normally I steer clear of anything with bows…but this time I couldn’t help but make an exception.
The Love Dress has won a firm place in the heart of a gal who always chooses colour and bold prints over the traditional LBD. Stop Staring’s attention to detail has made this beauty into a true wardrobe staple and also available in a variety of colours for those who already own too many little black dresses.
